A Head Delegate is CUSEC’s main contact person for their respective university.
Some of the responsibilies of a head delegate include:
- Promoting and bringing exposure of CUSEC at their university.
- Getting as many people as possible to register for CUSEC.
- Co-ordinating group transport and accommodations.
- Collecting funds from your university to help subsidize your delegation’s expenses.
Different sources of funding that exist in universities:
- Your faculty or department.
- Engineering Student Society.
- Software Engineering Student Society.
- Software Engineering related societies like the ACM, IEEE, IEEE/CS and other university-specific societies.
Benefits for being a head delegate include:
- A free ticket into CUSEC if you convince 10+ people to come (25 if your university is on the island of Montreal).
- Get the opportunity to win a prize if your school has remarkable participation.
