Pankaj Kamthan, a speaker at previous CUSEC’s, and I have had the following email exchange talking about our present theme which is “engineering useful software”. I know we have not done a good job to date explaining our theme so I wanted to share our conversation to help explain why we choose our present theme. (more…)

Looking For People To Join The Team
Posted by John Kopanas No CommentsWe are working at light speed to produce the best CUSEC to date but we still need some more hard working and dedicated members to join the team.
In particular we are looking for one or two people based out of Montreal to help with the logistics of the conference. We presently only have Audrey Girouard on the team but she is working on her Masters at the University of Tuffs (located in Boston) which makes it very hard for her to do a lot of the logistical work. But because of her previous experience with CUSEC she is an asset to the team.
The logistics team is responsible for taking care of the contract with the hotel and conference center, order food for breaks, take care of the cocktail and banquet as well as take care of the registration table throughout the conference. If the team is really great they will also take care of organizing the parties around the conference.
Anyone interested in knowing more about the logistics position please contact me at john [at] kopanas [dot] com.

Electronic Arts signs on as a sponsor!
Posted by Neeraj Mathrani 1 CommentAs the Sponsorship Director, I am proud to announce that Electronic Arts has just signed on as the first sponsor for CUSEC v5.0.
They will have their very own booth at CUSEC’s career fair, so you can ask as many questions as you like. Not to mention a gaming area set up with XBox 360s and next gen. titles from EA. They will also be donating games as prizes for various events.
Look out for other cool companies signing on as CUSEC sponsors!
